Walt write a report on whales
Whales Whales are the biggest mammal in the whole wide world. They are good at keeping in touch with lots and lots of their friends by making lots of [[#|sounds]] like clicking, thumping and squeaking.
Baby whales use lungs for breathing and feed on their mother’s milk. Did you know that whales sleep? They sleep by floating on top of the water. The blow hole is above the water and their body is in the water. They breathe while they are floating and sleeping.
Whales are warm blooded and give birth to live babies. That is how we know they are mammals. Whales can stay in the water for one hour. When their one hour is finished, they float up until they get right to the top of the water and then they blow the water out to breathe. The water can reach up to 10 metres high.
Whales have a lot of energy because they can swim for a long time. Whales are almost faster than sharks and they have great hearing than humans.
